First, using your food, you can make animals, trees, houses, and flowers. This will make your children to eat for fun as they get delighted on what they are seeing. To your soup, you can ass animal shape pasta. You can make fun with them as they eat. For instance, you can tell them to search for a chicken, a horse, or a sheep and eat. Some parents create competition by asking their children to search for animals and eat to be rewarded by eating more animals. Make mealtime to be pleasant and tasty via games as your child or children eat.
Second, making colorful dishes of vegetables can attract your child or children to feed on vegetables. Research has shown that young children derive pleasure on colorful things when they are young hence the need for you to make your vegetables colorful. This calls for your creativity as you serve vegetables and other meals.
Third, learn to eat with your children as a family. Excluding children and giving them their food to eat will make them feel excluded thus refuse to eat. A child cannot refuse to eat when he or she sees others eating. In fact, a child can compete with the rest of the family members by eating a lot of food in the name of eating like mature people.
